Gary Pons's Pianos Manufacture
|
The plexart Piano series provides numerous great instruments of which the design combines the beauty of aluminium with Altuglass and which performances and quality are those of traditional acoustic pianos.
Those are unique works of art that belong to a new era of pianos conception.
The finest handcraft confers on them a mysterious and fascinating design.
They are constantly evolving in order to reach the excellence that only satisfies the most demanding musicians.
Their sound qualities are the magic of deep bass, rich and round medium and pure treble.
Aluminium is a light and stainless material which confers on piano resistance to impacts and most beautiful look when polished
Altuglass is very rigid and strong material. It is a lot sturdier than any polyester layer or varnish layer most pianos are covered with. Easy to polish if scratched, Altuglass brilliance lasts year after year with very little maintenance.
The utmost devotion is dedicated to the Gary Pons Pianos manufacture.
Materials are selected out of the best ones in accordance with strict specifications.
The quality of strings, felts and woods (for a piano is 60% made of wood) are essential in order to make a great piano which possess timbre of the greatest quality, power and reliability.
Gary Pons thoroughly selects the pieces of wood of which his piano are made.
The sound board is choosen over the best essences of spruce (serried, cramped veins) to produce, through the rim, the best sound vibration. The Delignit’s pin block (German manufacture) made of maple assures the stillness of the pins and therefore the lasting of harmony of chords. Wooden parts are of good quality: basswood keyboard, maple mechanic parts. Rosleau’s strings for middle and treble, and Heller’s bass strings are another guaranty of quality.
Nickeled pins assure lasting chords, and the hammers are selected to produce a specific timbre out of the best ones: Renner (german) Abel (German) FFW (German) or Japanese.
The cast iron frame resists over a string tension of more than 20 tonnes (44000 pounds) which confers on pianos a bright timbre and a powerful sound.
Gary Pons’s pianos are adjusted and tested individually (mechanics adjustment, balance of the keys, etc…) and each one is played and tuned several times to guarantee the stillness of chords.
The Gary Pons craftsmen possess a perfect musical and technical knowledge which serves the purpose of thoroughly manufacturing lasting and ever beautiful pianos.
The very bygone expertise is mastered by our craftsmen.
If ever a piano does not seem perfect to Philippe Pons, this very piano would be sent back to the workshop in order to be improved until perfect.
Only excellence is admitted in his workshop.
